Dr.-Ing. Felix Rojas was born in Santiago, Chile. He received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering in 2009 as best graduated student, from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Chile. In 2016, he obtained his doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. During his career, he has worked in research projects related to active filters for railway applications, high power electric vehicle chargers and Multilevel converters for distribution systems. Up to 2021, he is an Assistant Professor at the University of Santiago, Chile where he was the director of the Electrical Technologies Research Center (E2Tech). Currently, he is an associate professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Dr Rojas main research interests are the control of Modular Multilevel Converters for Power Distribution Networks, power converters for integration of renewable energy sources into the grid and power converters for electric vehicles massification.
