Jonathan Lillo Cartes was born in Santiago, Chile. He received the Lic. degree in electrical engineering in 2018 from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and actually he is finishing his studies to pursue the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in the same university. His is working on the thesis theme "Implementation of a Back-to-Back Modular Multilevel Converter Configuration for Drives Applications with High Dynamic Performance", guided by Dr. Félix Rojas Lobos. He is currently an assistant professor of Power Electronics in the electrical engineering department, Universidad de Santiago de Chile. His research interests include modular multilevel cascade converters, variable speed drive systems, machine modelling and power electronics.
