Dr.-Ing. Felix Rojas was born in Santiago, Chile. He received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering in 2009 as best graduated student, from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Chile. In 2016, he obtained his doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. During his career, he has worked in research projects related to active filter for railway applications, high power electric vehicle chargers and Multilevel converters for distribution systems. He is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Santiago, Chile where he leads the Power Electronics for Future Technologies Research Group. He is an associated researcher at the Solar Energy Research Center, SERC Chile. His main research interest are the control of Modular Multilevel Converters for Power Distribution Networks, power converters for integration of renewable energy sources into the grid and power converters for electric vehicles massification.
